Etsy Statistics: March 2011 Weather Report

Ah, March. It brings such hope: mild temperatures, fluffy bunnies and fantasy basketball. Fortunately, not everyone was glued to their televisions, hoping for a few successful free-throws — the Etsy community continued to buzz with activity.

• $39.7 million of goods were sold by our community in March, 15.4% higher than February's $34.4 million.
• That represents 2,089,805 items sold for the month, 12.9% higher than February’s 1,850,525.
• 1,927,781 new items were listed in the month, 11.9% higher than February's 1,722,237.
• 394,511 new members joined the Etsy community in the month, up 34,115, or 9.5%, from February.
• 1,083,638,738 page views were recorded on the site in March.

The $39.7 million of goods sold by the community represents a 77% increase from March 2010's total. At the same time, items sold were up 60%.
